  Mr. C******* owns and represents the business described as Paul M. Woodwork. He provided an estimate to do a small job in Tallahassee. The job involved replacing a small portion of facial board, a small portion of wood siding, and installing approximately 6 feet of gutter. The quote was a bit high but none the less it was accepted due to the urgency in getting it done. An agreement was made for him to do the job. He completed the job in a timely manner. However, the gutter he installed was not only low quality material, but the installation was inadequate and substandard considering the high price he was subsequently paid. This was discovered less than two weeks after completion of the job.
  
  The gutter was not equipped with a screen to prevent it from filling with leaves. The gutter needed to have a face shield attached to the front of it so as to allow the water running off the roof to go into the gutter rather than over the gutter. The gutter also needed another support brace which would have prevented the gutter from sagging in the middle. If it had been equipped with a screen, perhaps it would not have been sagging in the middle. He was contacted regarding these concerns. Several messages were left without a response.
  
  When he finally did respond, he stated that he would come by to check it out. He did not come when he said he would and there was no call to indicate any intentions of following through. After finally getting to speak with him, he stated that he lived in Chattahoochee and he could not come. It became evident that he had no intentions of resolving the matter. Had he been willing to visit the idea of job satisfaction to the extent of effectiveness, I was very much opened to additional payment simply because of the urgency. It wasn't that he didn't complete the job he was paid to do, he didn't do a good job with quality material. The worse part of this issue is that he was not interested in doing a good job to the customer's satisfaction. I'm of the opinion that he saw an opportunity to take advantage of a 77 year old lady and he took it. Small or large, business is business.
